In recent years, the Pirates have given away a bobblehead a year but this year there are two with A.J. Burnett wearing a camo jersey [the Pirates will wear their camoflague jerseys that day] and Andrew McCutchen will get another bobblehead, this time with all of his awards from the season. Of note is that both bobbleheads will be given to only the first 25,000 fans. The game for McCutchen’s bobblehead has a 3:05 start time.

Saturday June 1st as part of Heritage Day, the Pirates will wear throwback uniforms of either the Pittsburgh Crawfords or Homestead Grays. Performing will be R&B classic group Kool & the Gang. They are known for hits such as ‘Get Down On It’, ‘Jungle Boogie’ and ‘Celebration’.

Promotions for the upcoming season can be seen at this year’s PirateFest which will be held December 15-16 [14th is for season ticket holders]. Images will be up soon on www.pittsburghpirates.com.
