The Gospel of Hockey returns from Thanksgiving vacation, as co-hosts Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder get back on track for City of Champions. Especially this year, Matt and Larry are thankful to have NHL alternatives to discuss.

This week’s episode is 100 percent guaranteed lockout free, featuring NHL.com staff writer Mike Morreale. Mike specializes in prospect coverage for the league’s website, so Matt and Larry will pick his brain about the next generation of hockey talent set to make their mark on the highest levels of the sport.

Today’s topics include the upcoming Canadian Hockey League showcase, the World Junior Championship and the efforts of the USHL and NAHL to attract the attention of NHL teams south of the border once the calendar turns to 2013.

The guys will also look at the tough sanctions issued to the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks and how it might affect the balance of power in the recruiting battle between NCAA hockey and the Canadian major junior leagues. In addition, Matt and Larry close the show with their Local Hockey Report!
