The Duquesne Dukes women’s basketball team achieved success led by Head Coach Suzie McConnell-Serio that included five consecutive WNIT berths, but now it looks as though her office will be in Oakland.

It is expected that the Pittsburgh Panthers will hire McConnell-Serio in a press conference at 2 p.m. today. McConnell-Serio had received a contract extension last season that went through the 2017-18 season.

McConnell-Serio played at Penn State and saw success in the WNBA as both a player and coach. She also was an Olympian.

McConnell-Serio would replace Agnus Berenato who was let go from Pitt after being unable to win a conference game in the past two seasons.

McConnell-Serio was 123-68 with Duquesne.
