With regular co-host Matt Shetler on vacation (and celebrating his recent engagement), City of Champions co-editor/lead writer Matt Gajtka welcomes staff writers Zac Weiss and Larry Snyder to Three Rivers, One Show this week for the usual Pittsburgh sports roundtable.

roundtable.

Matt, Zac and Larry dig into the Penguins first, as they discuss what they draw from the first three games against the Ottawa Senators. Everything from forward lines to goaltending, defense and the Penguins’ current state of mind going into Wednesday’s Game 4 on the road.

The Pirates were up next, with the Pittsburgh Baseball Club heading into a three-game home series against Chicago after taking five of its last seven at PNC Park. Who’s been the most surprising Pirate one quarter of the way into the season? Who needs to raise his level for the Bucs to build on their best start in two decades?

Lastly, Zac and Larry deliver their Final Thoughts for the week, focusing on the upcoming Memorial golf tournament in nearby Columbus, Ohio, and the recent solid play from the Pittsburgh Riverhounds soccer club.
