Wow! That was quite the first day of NHL free agency, with a flurry of signings – and a few notable trades – shaking up the league on a Friday afternoon. With that in mind, it’s a perfect time for another Gospel of Hockey podcast, part of the FanSided Radio Network.

Gospel of Hockey co-hosts Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder take a look at some of the most newsworthy transactions and how they could affect the teams involved in the upcoming years. The guys look at the Pittsburgh Penguins’ recent moves in particular, from the recent contract extensions for core players to the surprising reunion with defenseman Rob Scuderi.

Also, Matt and Larry look ahead to the 2014 Olympics and how Penguins coach Dan Bylsma can help bring a gold medal back to the United States; plus, the Coyotes stay in Phoenix, but at what cost?
