Pittsburgh Riverhounds sign Jose Angulo and Matt Dallman to extensions

Pittsburgh Riverhounds CEO Jason Kutney announced on Tuesday morning that forward Jose Angulo and midfielder Matt Dallman have both been signed to two-year contract extensions that will keep them with the team through the 2015 season.

Angulo, in his first season with the Hounds, was the 2013 USL PRO Most Valuable Player and scoing champion. He led the league with 34 points and finished tied for the league lead with 15 goals.

Dallman, also in his first full season with Pittsburgh, set a new league record with his 12 assists in 2013. He made three appearances on the USL PRO Team of the Week .

The two teamed up for the first goal in Highmark Stadium history back on April 13, when Dallman fed a pass to Angulo for a score against the Harrisburg City Islanders.

Riverhounds Reinforcements: Terry “Tuffy” Shallenberger, 46, has added another business card to his wallet. It was announced on Tuesday that he is the new majority owner of Highmark Stadium at Station Square in Pittsburgh.

Shallenberger, of Connellsville, Pa., became the majority owner of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds this summer and this latest move strengthens his role with the team. He has already expanded the Hounds youth academy training program and has built a new indoor soccer facility in Scottdale for year-round training.
