Jamie Dixon and his Pitt Panthers (16-2, 4-1 ACC) have been on a roll in their first season in the ACC, rising into the top 20 in both national polls this week.

Dixon and his staff have also been having success on the recruiting trail, as Pitt recently landed five-star small forward Mustapha Heron for its 2016 freshman class.

Here’s a look at the current Pitt basketball recruits for the Class of 2014:

  • C (Scout NR, 2*) (Rivals NR) (ESPN 20, 4*) Shaquille Doorson (Canarias Basketball Academy) Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain, 6-11/265
  • PF (Scout NR, 3*) (Rivals NR, 3*) (ESPN 45, 3*) Ryan Luther (Hamton HS) Allison Park, PA, 6-7/190
  • PF (Junior College transfer, NR) Sheldon Jeter (Polk HS) Winter Haven, FL, 6-7/220
  • SG (Post-grad, NR) Detrick Mostella (La Lumiere School) La Porte, IN, 6-2/185

Doorson, Luther and Jeter have signed their letters of intent and will play next season.

Jeter, a Beaver Falls, Pa., native, decided to transfer from Vanderbilt, but was denied to go to Pitt this year. He will be eligible to play the next three seasons for Pitt.

Mostella, was originally committed to Oklahoma State, but decided to change to Pitt last season.  He is currently at Notre Dame Prep for post-grad work and hopes to be eligible next season.

Here’s a look at the current Class of 2015:

  • SG (Scout 3*) (Rivals 4*) (ESPN 4*) Damon Wilson (Our Savior New American School) Centereach, NY, 6-4/180

And here is the current Class of 2016:

  • SF (Scout 5, 4*) (Rivals 4*) (ESPN 5*, grade of 95) Mustapha Heron (Wilbraham And Monson Academy) Wilbraham, MA, 6-4/185
  • SG (Scout 3*) (Rivals 4*) (ESPN NR) Maverick Rowan (Lincoln Park Performing Arts) Midland, PA, 6-5/175
