Pittsburgh Pirates: Watch Jose Tabata Make Fantastic Catch Crashing Into Wall

There weren’t many highlights coming from the Pittsburgh Pirates’ bats in their loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday afternoon, but left fielder Jose Tabata made a spectacular play with the leather.

Tabata, who got the start in left field instead of Starling Marte, made a fantastic running catch while running into the wall to rob Reds catcher Brayan Pena of extra bases in the fifth inning.

The catch proved costly as Tabata had to leave the game following the catch with what was described as mild concussion symptoms.

Tabata, who impacted the fence with his left shoulder, walked off the field under his own power after being evaluated by trainers.

Marte came into the game to replace him in left field.
