Let’s take a look into the Pittsburgh Steelers running back situation going into the 2016 NFL season.

Le’Veon Bell

In his fourth year out of Michigan State, Le’Veon Bell is the Steelers number one back.  After missing the first 2 games of 2015, he was limited to 6 games with a knee injury suffered in Week 8 versus the Bengals. Bell racked up 556 rushing yards and 136 receiving yards to go along with a career low 3 rushing touchdowns.

Bell is hoping to have a outstanding year in 2016. Even if he is slowed in his recovery back to 100%, there are two capable backs behind him.

Grade: A-

If Bell can stay healthy and not have to carry the ball 30+ times by sharing some of that work load. it will be a good thing for him. Hopefully his knee can hold up with his fast feet and lightning quick cuts, something the Steelers were lacking last season. To have a running back duo like Bell and Williams, I’m sure Coach Tomlin is looking forward to the 2016 season.
