It’s the middle of August, but that doesn’t mean the Gospel of Hockey is short on puck-related topics! Co-hosts Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder dig into the hockey universe in this half hour of wall-to-wall hockey talk, starting with the ongoing NHL Research, Development & Orientation Camp in Toronto.

Which experiments from this week have the best chance of becoming rules changes in the future? Matt and Larry discuss the potential tweaks that hold the most promise for them. Also, another premature death of an NHL tough guy raises additional questions on the collateral damage of an increasingly violent sport.

Other topics on today’s show include a contentious update of Sidney Crosby’s recovery from his January concussion and the increasing probability that the Penguins will host the 2012 NHL Draft next June. And, as always, the Gospel of Hockey tackles all relevant minor-league, college and junior hockeynews and notes.
