Pittsburgh Steelers’ Larry Foote shows lack of class with comments

Some guys will never get it. Some guys will just never learn how to act in the public eye.

The latest to shoot his mouth off is Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebacker Larry Foote, who was caught after the Steelers loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday making a complete ass of himself.

Jory Rand of CBS Pittsburgh saw what went down and reported:

"Larry Foote was the first Steeler to exit the field. I was set up nearby for our postgame show, and heard someone scream, “You should go kill yourselves. Y’all (bleep)ing suck!”I leaned around the corner and saw Foote enter the Steelers room, while several officials, entering their room, craned their neck to see who it was that had yelled at them.Foote had already left the room by the time media was allowed in so we were unable to ask him about it."

Typical of Foote, who is a good linebacker but nothing special. Foote loves to show up the opposition and jump around like an imbecile every time he makes a play. What ever happened to being professional and acting like you’ve been there before?

That of course isn’t Foote’s style, instead he has to go out and make stupid comments that not only make himself, but the Steelers organization look insensitive.

“You should go kill yourselves?”

That’s funny. I don’t remember the Lions asking Foote to go kill himself for his failures in a Detroit uniform.

Stay classy Larry.

Did the replacement refs miss a call when Ziggy Hood was chop-blocked? Yes they did, but did it warrant Foote telling them to kill themselves? Absolutely not. Maybe Foote should look in the mirror as he is part of a unit that gave Darren McFadden over 100 yards on the ground and allowed Carson Palmer to pick them apart underneath in the second half.

That wasn’t the fault of the replacement referees.

The funny part is that the play that set Foote off wasn’t even the dirtiest play of the game. That honor belongs to Ryan Mundy for going helmet-to-helmet on Darius Heyward-Bey, requiring a neck brace and stretcher for Heyward-Bey. There wasn’t a flag thrown on that play either, but I didn’t hear Foote complaining about that.

Talk about the pot meeting the kettle.

The simple facts are that the Steelers sit at 1-2 right now  and it’s not because of the replacement refs, it’s because of the defense that Foote is a big part of.

Still believe in the Steelers way? News flash, the Steelers way has been gone for a long time.

In the meantime, guys like Foote will continue to go around and shoot their mouth off.

Stay classy Larry.
