Sports Omnivore reboots with thoughts on PEDs, Steelers, Pirates & more
By Matt Gajtka
The Sports Omnivore podcast returns in a new weekly format, designed to challenge conventional wisdom and dig deeper into the latest news from the world of athletics.
This week, I take a look at the morality of performance enhancing drugs, which are now being used by folks in many walks of life to get the edge on the competition. Also, a recent controversy surrounding a transsexual college athlete reveals the battle for equal rights in sports isn’t as settled as we may think.
Later, I take the hockey media to task for allowing emotion to cloud their reporting of the NHL lockout, plus I address fascinating Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall and how the Pirates need to get aggressively creative in trying to take the next step.
There is nothing out of bounds on the Sports Omnivore!
