After nearly four months of waiting, the 2013 NHL season is on our doorsteps, and the Gospel of Hockey is more than ready to welcome it on the Fansided Radio Network.

This week, Hockey Evangelist Matt Gajtka and Puck Prophet Larry Snyder are joined by credentialed NHL columnist and commentator Joe Depto, who covers the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets for various entities.
How will the shortened season affect teams and players, if at all? Will the Penguins’ goaltending and defense issues from last year’s playoffs prove to be an aberration or a problem that lingers? What surprises and disappointments can be anticipate, either in Pittsburgh and Columbus or around the NHL? Will big-league hockey suffer any long-term effects from the lockout or will fans bounce right back into it? The Gospel of Hockey addresses those questions and more.
Later in the program, Matt and Larry look at The Hockey News’ latest list of the 100 most powerful people in hockey, review a great new hockey book on the market, and give area teams and programs the stage in the weekly Local Hockey Report!
