The Pittsburgh Penguins are locked in a compelling series with the New York Islanders, and the Gospel of Hockey is back to discuss that matchup and the rest of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder take a look at how the Penguins have gotten to this point, and whether their struggles in this round affect their championship chances this year. The rest of the hockey world is also up for discussion, from the series already finished to those yet to be determined.

Matt and Larry also answer listener’s questions submitted on Twitter, and the show ends with the weekly Local Hockey Report, as the AHL Penguins move to the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs while the Youngstown Phantoms see their title hopes come to an end in a winner-take-all game.

The Gospel of Hockey is a division of the Sport Omnivore Podcast, with archives available here.
