Penguins postmortem, Gerrit Cole debut and more on Three Rivers, One Show
By Matt Gajtka
The Pittsburgh Penguins’ shocking four-game loss to the Boston Bruins and its aftermath is the primary topic of this week’s Three Rivers, One Show, part of the FanSided Radio Network.

City of Champions editors Matt Shetler and Matt Gajtka welcome Larry Snyder back to help break down the Penguins’ breakdown, from forwards to defenseman, goalies and coaching. Who will be back next season? Who should the Pens let go, coach Dan Bylsma and staff included? What can the team do to prevent the confounding playoff lapses of recent years from happening again?
From there, the guys look ahead to the anticipated debut of Pittsburgh Pirates stud pitching prospect Gerrit Cole. Is the timing right for the 2011 No. 1 overall pick to take the PNC Park mound? Can Cole’s big day kickstart baseball season in Pittsburgh, especially with the Penguins out of the picture?
Finally, the trio deliver their Final Thoughts. Gajtka laments the Pens’ lackluster trade additions, Snyder trumpets the Riverhounds’ latest good result and Shetler has a few words for fickle Pirates fans.
