One game later, the 2012 second-round pick just isn’t starting, he’s not even getting a helmet.

Adams is inactive for the Steelers game against the New York Jets on Sunday.

The Ohio State product heads the list that also includes: quarterback Landry Jones, wide receiver Markus Wheaton, running back Isaac Redman, linebacker Chris Carter, center Cody Wallace and defensive lineman Hebron Fangupo.

The rookie Wheaton is the only one of the seven inactives out with an injury, the other six were coaches decisions.

As for the Jets, their inacties include: quarterback Brady Quinn, wide reciever Santonio Holmes, rookie cornerback Dee Milliner, linebacker Troy Davis, guard Will Campbell, offensive lineman Ben Ijalana and offensive lineman Oday Aboushi.

Holmes and Milliner are among the Jets key contributors who will miss the game due to injury.

The 0-4 Steelers and 3-2 Jets will kick things things off from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey at 1:00 p.m. EST.
