It looks as if left tackle is Beachum’s position for now and he is going to have his hands full on Sunday in the form of Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil, two of the premiere pass rushers in the NFL. On the season the duo have combined for 12 of the Ravens 22 sacks.
That’s not good news for Roethlisberger, who missed both of the Ravens games a year ago, and could be running for his life Sunday afternoon.
Suggs has sacked Roethlisberger 15.5 times over the course of his career, and it will be up to Beachum to shut him down. If he doesn’t and the Ravens get a ton of pressure, it’s going to be a long day.
Prediction: The Steelers need this game badly which makes me think they will come out and give a top-notch effort. But I’m just not sold after the Jets win that they have enough to get the job done. This will be a typical Ravens-Steelers slugfest, but I have seen too many breakdowns on both sides of the ball through five games to make me think the Steelers can turn in a performance good enough to beat a quality team. Unfortunately, mistakes will doom the Steelers as hey fall to 1-5. Ravens 23, Steelers 20
