The Steelers are No. 8 against the pass, but they’ve allowed a lot of passing yards in recent games. The Packers beat the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV by spreading them out and throwing the ball. Jordy Nelson, James Jones and company need to find the soft spots against a practically old secondary.
If the Steelers limit the big plays in the passing game, I don’t think the Packers have enough in other areas to beat them. However if Ike Taylor and company aren’t sharp, it could turn into a long day.
Prediction: We will know by 4:30 if this game has any meaning for the Steelers. Whether it does or not, I expect the Steelers to be ready to play. If Rodgers were playing I would like the Packers big here, as he is only one of four quarterbacks in the NFL whose career I would rank ahead of Roethlisberger. That being said, I’m taking the better quarterback here. Steelers 27, Packers 20
