2013 was an interesting year for all Pittsburgh sports fans. As usual it reached the highest of highs and lowest of lows, although the highest of highs may have come from an unlikely source.

This season saw the Pittsburgh Pirates find success, Pitt football win its first bowl in the Paul Chryst era, the fall, rise and fall once again of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penguins now atop the Eastern Conference and leading their division by a healthy margin despite several injuries.
