NFL Schedule Release: Predicting Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2014 Record

Week 15 at Atlanta Falcons
Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm
Network: CBS

This is a tricky game as the Falcons could easily get back to being one of the top teams in the NFC, but they have some holes to fill, something they easily can do in the draft.
The Steelers need a road win badly to salvage their playoff hopes and right now I think they get it.
The Atlanta offensive line isn’t the greatest and I look for the Steelers front seven to take advantage of it.
If the Falcons protect Matt Ryan they win the game, but I am predicting some Troy Polamalu pressure late in the fourth quarter leading to a Ryan interception and a Steelers win.
Prediction: Steelers 24-21 (8-6)
Week 16 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm
Network CBS
Here comes the death blow for the Steelers playoff hopes.
Both of these teams will be fighting for a wild card spot at this point and I like the Chiefs to come into Pittsburgh and leave with a win.
The Steelers will have problems stopping Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles and Chiefs’ quarterback Alex Smith doesn’t make many mistakes.
More importantly the Steelers won’t be able to handle the Kansas City pass rush and Tomlin’s team has a big letdown again in a big game.
Prediction: Chiefs 27-20 (8-7)
Week 17 at Cincinnati Bengals
Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm
Network: CBS
By this time the Steelers will be mathematically eliminated from the postseason and will be facing a Cincinnati team resting most of its starters.
The Steelers have had great success playing in Cincinnati, winning 12 of the past 15 meetings and that will continue.
They win again in Cincinnati, avoiding a third consecutive 8-8 season, but miss out on the postseason once again leading to speculation on Tomlin’s future.
Prediction: Steelers 20-13 (9-7)
