Todd McShay 2014 NFL Mock Draft: Pittsburgh Steelers select Kyle Fuller

With just hours remaining before the 2014 NFL Draft kicks off, all of the experts are chiming in with their last minute predictions.

That includes ESPN’s Todd McShay, who is targeting a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 15 overall pick.
That guy is Virginia Tech’s Kyle Fuller.
That should make Steelers fans happy as Fuller is the physical corner that the Steelers are searching for, something I looked at earlier in the day.
Both McShay and ESPN’s Mel Kiper have the Steelers taking a corner with the No. 15 pick, although Kiper has Michigan State’s Darqueze Dennard falling to Pittsburgh.
"Cornerback is one of the Steelers’ top needs, as they really need to get younger in the secondary. Fuller is a good fit because he is willing and capable in run support in addition to having exceptional ball skills and very good instincts. He isn’t a reach here, either, as he’s the No. 15-ranked player on our board. Of course this is presuming there is no trades and the Steelers are a candidate to potentially move down in the draft as well."
However if Dennard is on the board, the Steelers likely won’t hesitate to take him, although I still don’t believe that he will be there at No. 15.
That makes Fuller a logical choice, although don’t rule out the Steelers possibly trading down as they can likely get Fuller a couple of picks later.
If they do trade out of the No. 15 draft spot and Fuller is off the board, don’t be surprised if the Steelers target TCU corner Jason Verrett or one of many talented wide receivers.
