WVU Football: Clint Trickett Named Big 12 Offensive Player Of The Week
By Larry Snyder

West Virginia quarterback Clint Trickett claimed another weekly award as he was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The 6-foot-2, 186-pound signal caller completed 37 of 49 passes for 511 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in WVU’s 40-37 victory Saturday against the Terrapins at Maryland. It was the second-most passing yards in Mountaineers history behind Geno Smith’s 656 yards against Baylor in Sept 2012.
The fifth-year senior was also named the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Offensive Player of the Week. In addition, Trickett acquired the Athlon Sports National Player of the Week, the College Sports Madness National Offensive Player of the Week and the College Football Performance Honorable Mention Quarterback Performer of the Week for his efforts on the road at Byrd Stadium.
After the Big 12 weekly honor was announced, Trickett said to wvusports.com, “I have to give credit to the whole offensive unit, from the offensive line to the receivers to the running backs. I’m just a facilitator. Those guys are the ones making the plays and deserve all the credit.”
