facebooktwitterreddit

It is time to look in the back of my closet for my bowling ball and attempt to peer into it and predict the future as to where the Pitt Panthers might be playing college football in December or January. Since the ball could use some polish, let’s take a look at what some of the experts on the internet are saying.

ESPN.com – Mark Schlabach predicts Pitt taking on Northwestern in the Quick Lane Bowl at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on Friday, Dec. 26. The match-up will be broadcast on ESPN.

CBSSports.com – Jerry Palm forecasts the Panthers taking on UL Lafayette in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, Dec. 20. It will be broadcast on ESPN.

PhilSteele.com – The web site’s bowl preview page has Pitt heading out west to play Washington in the Cactus Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona on Friday, Jan. 2. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

SportingNews.com – Bill Bender projects the Panthers to take on the University of Toledo Rockets in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl at Cramton Bowl Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 20. The game will be seen on ESPN.

SBNation.com – Jason Kirk sees Pitt taking on Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl on the last Friday in December.

FanSided.com’s Saturday Blitz – Caleb Calhoun likes Pittsburgh to play BYU in the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl at Marlins Park on Monday, Dec. 22. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.

Panther fans, it may be time to throw a dart at a map on the wall to see where the team ends up this season. My best bet would be the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit.
