Pop Warner spent eight seasons patrolling the sidelines in Pittsburgh. Through those eight seasons, he delivered and was credited with THREE National Championships.

  1. 1915
  2. 1916
  3. 1918

Although a different time, Warner was one of the most successful coaches that the university has ever employed. Not only did he start his tenure at Pitt 26-0, but concluded his stint with a record of 60-12-4 (A time when ties were a common result).

Oddly, Warner’s predecessor was a freshly graduated player named Jock Sutherland, a legend in his own right.
