Episode 3 of Gike’s Got Game on The River’s Edge hones in on the Pittsburgh Pirates and relevant local soccer topics, with John Krysinski and Josh Yohe joining me along the way.

I opened with a monologue on the remarkable conclusion to the Pirates-Cardinals series at PNC Park, before looking ahead to the second half.

Krysinski, the man behind Pittsburgh Soccer Report, jumped on the show to analyze the Riverhounds’ up-and-down season to date and the growing impact of the Women’s World Cup.

It was Yohe’s turn next, as my colleague at DKonPittsburghSports.com relayed his experience from Cincinnati for the MLB All-Star Game, where four Pirates competed for the National League.
