Week eight has arrived in the NFL, the midway point of what has been a very interesting season with some surprise teams and other franchises that have imploded (hello Baltimore).

For the Pittsburgh Steelers they find themselves at 4-3 and on the brink of what has become a very crucial game at home against the Bengals. Picking games correctly has been tough for many this season and coming off a 7-7 week, Harv gives it yet another shot.

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots: As the Dolphins head into New England hoping to do what the New York Jets could not, despite a short winning streak, that ends for Miami on this day. Patriots 41 Dolphins 13.

Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs: Thanks Kansas City for putting a damper on the Steelers’ season. Now they can beat up on the Lions who have tried to right their ship with some firings. Chiefs 27 Lions 21.

Arizona Cardinals at Cleveland Browns: Cleveland is hardly the laughing stock of the league anymore. That tag now might belong to the Ravens. Arizona is a solid team however and not easy pickings. Cardinals 38 Browns 21.

Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans: Two teams struggling to get to game 16 and start thinking about 2016. Texans 30 Titans 27.

New York Giants at New Orleans Saints: The Saints have forgotten how to win at home…until Sunday. Saints 23 Giants 17.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: Minnesota is one of those surprise teams. At 4-2 just behind the superior Packers. Crucial game for Chicago. Vikings 19 Bears 17.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons are trying to keep pace with undefeated Carolina. Panthers are not pretenders at 6-0 but the Falcons might be. This is the Steelers/Chiefs game for Atlanta. They should win. Falcons 35 Tampa 24.

San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams: The Rams have been a mild surprise while the 49ers find it difficult to locate their identity. Rams 16 49ers 10.

San Diego Chargers at Baltimore Ravens: If Baltimore doesn’t win this one at home…they may as well pack it in for the season. A loss drops them to 1-7. The Chargers are only one better at 2-5. Ravens 40 Chargers 34.

Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers: The preview is coming…the preview is coming!

  • New York Jets at Oakland Raiders: Raiders are perhaps the biggest surprise of the season minus maybe the Panthers. Raiders 27 Jets 21.

Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys: Dez Bryant could return in two weeks, Romo not until at least week 11. At 2-4 and losers of four straight, it’s season over for the ‘Boys. Seahawks 34 Cowboys 12.

Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos: The best game of the week with two of the biggest names at quarterback in the NFL. Rodgers vs. Manning. The only issue here is Aaron Rodgers is still in the thick of his prime while Peyton Manning seems to be at the very end of his career. Does he have one or more great games left? That remains to be seen. Broncos 31 Packers 30.

Indianapolis Colts at Carolina Panthers: The week concludes with one team on national television trying to show the world their undefeated record is not a sham and the other team trying to rescue their season. What happened to Andrew Luck and what many believed to be a rising star? Panthers 28 Colts 17.

There it is. A slate of games that should provide another weekend of interesting conversation. As difficult as it is to pick winners these days, it is always worth the effort to try right or wrong! As many say regarding the NFL, it sometimes doesn’t mean National Football League rather NOT FOR LONG! Good luck this week to all the other football prognosticators!
