For the second time in three games, the Robert Morris Colonials men’s basketball team (0-3) lost 76-81 in a close comeback effort.

Fans packed the Charles L. Sewall Center, looking for their home team to put their first win on the board in their home opener. Unfortunately for the Colonials, they faced an impressive Bucknell Bison (2-1) team who was able to utilize their deep threats to stomp their way to a victory.

The Bison got off to a fast start, leading 23-8 in the first ten minutes of the game. Led by Chris Hass and Nate Jones, they were able to shoot an astounding 50% from the three point line at the end of the first half. The Colonials, however, would not go down without a fight.

Heading into the beginning of the second half down by 8, Robert Morris came out of the gate looking to get the game back into the normal play the Colonials Crazies expect, top notch. They were able to do so with the help of star Rodney Pryor, who struggled to with his shot in the first half. He was only able to make 1 out of 6 in the first half, but was able to mount a 5 out of 8 shooting performance in the second half. Breakout freshman Isaiah Still also showed off his talent in the matchup, making 3 out of 6 shots from beyond the arc.

There was life in the Colonial team throughout the entire second half, but things really picked up with 2:30 to go in the game, when Pryor was able to nail a jump shot, then followed by a fast-break and-one layup by Billy Giles, followed by a made free throw to get within three points. Unluckily, the Bison were able to secure the win by making five of their six three throws in the last 30 seconds of the contest.
