Here are my rankings of the top-10 quarterbacks in Steeler History.
In the 1970s, the Pittsburgh Steelers won four Super Bowls in a span of six seasons. Those teams were comprised of many great players and more than a handful have landed in the hallowed halls of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
Some of the greatest Steelers ever from that era remain the best players in the history of the Steelers to play for the black and gold.
The question then becomes how would each position on the field be ranked player-by-player when considering who is the best ever? What better position to start at then by ranking the best Pittsburgh Steeler quarterbacks of all-time.
Right off the top, two names obviously come to mind—Terry Bradshaw and current signal caller Ben Roethlisberger.
It’s hard to argue that these two men—one already in the hall of fame and another well on his way—are the two best quarterbacks in Steeler history. But before Bradshaw and Roethlisberger, there were obviously others barking out the signals on offense.
The quarterbacks throughout the Black and Gold history have ranged from some that were very good to some that were downright awful. With this slideshow, you will only get ten of the very best.
