The fourth annual Three Rivers Classic brings college hockey back to Consol Energy Center on December 28th and 29th.

The Three Rivers Classic will bring two days of NCAA Division I hockey to Pittsburgh, featuring four of the best teams to watch in the country. Two returning teams, Robert Morris University and Penn State University, and two new teams, UMass Lowell and Clarkson, will face off against each other in what’s quickly becoming a must see tournament in Pittsburgh.

The first day of the tournament will have RMU hosting Penn State, and UMass facing Clarkson, to determine who will play in the championship game and who will play in the consolation game the following night. Tickets can be purchased for the first, second, or both days. So if you just want to see the inner-state rivalry between the Colonials and the Nittany Lions on the first night, or if you just want to see the tournament finale, you can do so.

Want to go support your hometown team, but not up to date on the latest in college hockey? Don’t worry, we’ll catch you up to speed with the two teams that bring possibly the best college hockey to be seen in Pittsburgh, EVER.
