1. Roquan Smith, Inside Linebacker, Georgia

With Ryan Shazier’s football future in doubt, the Steelers need to begin planning for what they’re going to do without him. No, there hasn’t been a decision made regarding Shazier, but it would be wise to get ahead of the game, especially if Pittsburgh wants to keep playing postseason football beyond 2017.

Thankfully for Steelers nation, the Georgia Bulldogs have produced one heck of an inside linebacker prospect – Roquon Smith.

Take a look at Campbell’s take on Smith’s NFL Draft outlook from Walter Football:

"“Scouting sources were raving about Smith in 2017, and he was tremendous for Georgia. Smith was all over the field for the Bulldogs with a big presence in defending the run while also being a reliable contributor in pass coverage. The fast and instinctive Smith flies around the field, making tackles while also showing the ability to play in pass coverage. He has drawn comparisons to the Buccaneers’ Lavonte David and the Falcons’ Deion Jones.”"

Everyone loves to talk about how great the Seattle Seahawks are at identifying physical and athletic linebackers in the NFL Draft. Needless to say, Smith fits that mold perfectly. If the Steelers want a great long-term option to potentially replace Shazier, they need to find every way possible to bring Smith up north.
