The Pittsburgh Steelers need every player come back stronger next season; however, here are three guys who must step up for the team in 2018.

It’s no surprise the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t win the Super Bowl this season, but it is a shocker this team lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Divisional Round. Yes, I know the Jags had an incredible defense this year, but still, this Steelers football team isn’t supposed to lose an AFC Playoff game at Heinz Field, right?

Regardless of how the 2017 season turned out, I think everyone can agree there were too many missed tackles, too many blown coverages and way too many missed opportunities left on the field. For a team who dreamed of winning their seventh Lombardi Trophy this season, those kind of mistakes are simply unacceptable.

At the same time, many people have also targeted the Steelers coaching staff for not making the right adjustments during games. I’ve heard most fans point to Mike Tomlin’s mishandling of the clock in the Patriots game in December. While there’s definitely some validity to that argument, it’s the players who ultimately miss the tackle, drop the ball or throw dumb passes into double-coverage at the goal-line.

However, the good news is that we can all move onto next season and begin talking about the Pittsburgh’s Super Bowl 53 hopes.

Without further ado, here are three Steelers who must step up their game in 2018.
