3. Why can’t this Steelers squad beat the Patriots?

Let’s be honest, this is the question every Steelers fan has been asking for the last decade. While the Patriots are clearly better than most teams in the NFL, they definitely shouldn’t be dominating Pittsburgh like they have. According to Pro Football Reference, the Pats are 11-3 against the Steelers since 2002.

It goes without saying, that’s simply ridiculous.

This Steelers franchise still owns the most Lombardi Trophies in the NFL, but they’re also lucky the Giants and Eagles were able to play the games of their lives. If not, New England would be on top of the football world right now.

Who knows, maybe it’s coaching? The Steelers have had some great coaches, but none have seemed able to figure out the Pats. Maybe it’s the roster? Pittsburgh has had a handful of future Hall-of-Fame players over the last 15 years. Sooner or later, things have to change if Pittsburgh wants to make it back to the Super Bowl.

With Tom Brady getting into the latter part of his career, and with some weird tension between Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick, the time for Pittsburgh to make their move is now.
