The Pittsburgh Steelers had a very successful 2017 season, which landed five of their guys on Pro Football Focus’ Top 101 players list of 2017.

The 2017 season was nothing short of serious fun for the Pittsburgh Steelers and their dedicated fanbase. Even with a tough loss in the AFC Divisional Round to the Jacksonville Jaguars, this Steelers squad made some serious noise, finishing the year with an incredible 13-3 record. When you win that many games in one season, you’ll have a ton of players get notoriety.

We all know who the Steelers best players are every year, but it’s always good to know everyone else does too. Even in a year where the team didn’t achieve their ultimate goal, there’s more than enough to celebrate heading into 2018.

For example, did you know there were five Steelers who made Pro Football Focus’ Top 101 players of 2017 list? Take a look at who made the list from Pittsburgh below:

Antonio Brown (ranked 7th)

David DeCastro (ranked 17th)

Cameron Heyward (ranked 54th)

Ben Roethlisberger (ranked 68th)

Le’Veon Bell (ranked 71st)

Does it surprise you that Antonio Brown was PFF’s highest-rated wide receiver of the 2017 season? Me neither.

The Steelers veteran receiver has done an incredible job in his NFL career and arguably still has his best years still in front of him. While that does hinge on who Pittsburgh will have playing quarterback in a few years, Brown is a guy who will succeed regardless of who’s under center for the black and gold.

In terms of the four other Steelers on this list, I don’t see anyone who is a major surprise. If you were to ask me who I believed Pittsburgh’s best five players and leaders were, I would definitely say DeCastro, Brown, Roethlisberger, Heyward and Bell.

With that said, do you feel that any Steelers player was snubbed by PFF’s top 101 players of 2017 list? If so, which ones?
