Did you know Cleveland fans are awfully fond of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, Ryan Shazier? Check out the video from the Cavs game below.

Since Ryan Shazier was severely injured in the Pittsburgh Steelers game against the Cincinnati Bengals a few months ago, he’s gained a ton of support around the sports world. We all knew that Steelers-nation would get behind him, but little did we know he’d receive this much encouragement, especially from rival cities.

In case you hadn’t heard already, Shazier attended the Cleveland Cavaliers vs San Antonio Spurs game on Sunday afternoon. All eyes were on LeBron James and Cavs, that is until Shazier was shown on the huge video screen at center court during a time-out.

Take a look at the video from the Cavs vs Spurs game below:

Who knew that so many people in Cleveland would cheer so loudly for a Steelers player? I guess when your own NFL team didn’t win one game last year, you have to switch teams right?

All kidding aside, Shazier, a former Ohio State Buckeyes superstar, got some love from the home crowd on Sunday afternoon. In case you didn’t notice, this Cleveland twitter page didn’t even mention he was a player for Pittsburgh. Needless to say, I can almost guarantee you that was intentional. Oh well.

Next: Is drafting Lamar Jackson a serious possibility?

Still, it’s nice to see, that even in Cleveland, Shazier is getting support and encouragement, which has to mean the world to him and his family. One of these days, we will see Shazier step back onto a football field in pads, and the entire sports world will be applauding. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for that day.
