After re-drafting the Pirates’ drafts from 2014-2017, what would a potential roster look like today?

As I stated, because of the young talented pitching the Pirates would have, I can’t imagine us trading for Archer. So that leaves us with this rotation:

Jamison Taillon

Trevor Williams

Tyler Glasnow

Walker Buehler

Joe Musgrove

With Spencer Howard, Jesus Lazardo, and Mitch Keller all MLB-ready.

The group of position players we’d have would look like this:

C- Elias Diaz and Jacob Stallings

1B- Josh Bell and Pete Alonso

2B- Brandon Lowe and Adam Frazier

SS- Carter Kieboom

3B- Matt Chapman, Colin Moran, and Ke’Bryan Hayes

OF- Starling Marte, Austin Meadows, Bryan Reynolds, Alex Verdugo, and Gregory Polanco

Obviously, the catcher position doesn’t look great, but with five good outfielders and a plethora of pitching, a trade could definitely have been worked out. Although I would not trust Neal to pull that off correctly.

See, wasn’t this activity fun? Doesn’t everybody feel better about the Pirates now?

Because I certainly don’t. At least we have a cool stadium. Nobody can take that away from us.
