Analyzing the Penguins’ current state on the Gospel of Hockey
By Matt Gajtka
Gospel of Hockey co-hosts Matt Gajtka and Larry Snyder welcome a fresh voice to the program this week, as they talk Penguins hockey and the NHL with sportswriter and blogger Jon Rudder.

Jon covers sports for the Salem News in eastern Ohio, in addition to writing about the Pens for the CityView Sportscast blog. He also is a former intern with the Penguins Radio Network, so Matt and Larry pick his brain on how the team has performed through the season’s first 17 games.
What are the positives and negatives so far for one of the Stanley Cup favorites, both individually and team-wise? Did Wednesday’s painful loss to Philadelphia raise any meaningful concerns as we approach the midway point of this shortened season? What does this team have to do to reach its championship potential?
Later in the program, play along as Jon faces the Gospel of Hockey Quiz, with questions focusing on Penguins coaching history and the Miracle on Ice anniversary. Finally, Matt and Larry finish the show with their weekly Local Hockey Report!
