National League Rookie of the Year

Matt Shetler: Jedd Gyorko- The 24-year old has a big bat and will open the season playing third in San Diego. Once  Chase Headley returns from injury, Gyorko will shift to second base. He will have the at bats to put up Rookie of the Year type numbers.  However if Gerrit Cole comes up early enough,  he could be a sleeper for the award.

Matt Gajtka: Shelby Miller – The Cardinals have reinforcements coming, and this big righty is the first of many to make an impact.

Drew Shetler: Julio Teheran, Not much to pick from in the National League but Teheran has electric stuff and will start as the Braves fifth starter this season. By the end of the year could quite possibly be the Braves best starting pitcher.

American League Rookie of the Year

Matt Shetler: Jurickson Profar- He won’t start the year in the majors, but he’s too good not to be up before long. The Rangers will have to create a spot for him.

Matt Gajtka: Wil Myers – Royals got a nice short-term haul for him, but he’ll show why Tampa won the trade.

Drew Shetler: Wil Myers- Myers was sent down by the Rays but will be called up by mid-June and will help lead the Rays to a huge second half.
