Matt Shetler: Davey Johnson- Johnson will lead the Nats to the best record in baseball.
Matt Gajtka: Clint Hurdle – If this is the year the Pirates make the postseason, there’s no way the media-friendly manager doesn’t get this award.
Drew Shetler: Davey Johnson- Does another great job with the Nationals and with no innings limit for Stephen Strasburg he wins the World Series.
American League Manager of the Year
Matt Shetler: Ned Yost- Yost will have the Royals as the surprise of baseball and take home some hardware as a result.
Matt Gajtka: John Gibbons – Toronto is set to make a big jump, and their new (and old) manager will get some of that credit.
Drew Shetler: Ned Yost- The confluence of a rebuilt rotation (with James Shields, Wade Davis and Ervin Santana now in the mix) and a resurgent core will keep K.C. on the Tigers’ heels into September and propel the Royals to their first winning season since 2003 and their first 85-win season since 1989.
