Dennis Briggs, Shady Side Academy, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Briggs is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound athlete from Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh. He chose Pitt over his only other Division I offers, Buffalo and Toledo.

He isn’t ranked by any scouting services and is an athlete that can play running back or safety. He’s a tweener who will likely just be slotted wherever Pitt needs him.

Despite not being ranked, Briggs has excellent speed and showed great vision as a running back.

RB Qadree Ollison, Canisius High School, Niagara Falls, N.Y

The Buffalo area product should be one to watch as I liked the early commitment of Ollison.

The three-star recruit has great size and picked Pitt over Wisconsin and Penn State.

Scout ranks him as the nation’s 40th-best running back and Rivals has him as New York’s fifth-best player overall and top running back in that state.

He also had offers from Iowa, Maryland, Boston College and Syracuse.

I will take a look at the next six Pitt recruits in a post later this afternoon:
