Hockey reporter Alan Saunders of Pittsburgh Sporting News is the latest guest on the Burgh Brew interview series. Saunders, who covers the Penguins and Robert Morris University men’s hockey for PSN, joined City of Champions Radio to discuss the state of local pucks.

In particular, we assessed the Pens’ progress this season, including how they’ve adjusted to a new coach and several personnel changes, and what they might need to add before the NHL trade deadline. Defensive depth, special teams and goalie use were also topics.

Also, we looked into the strong season for RMU, which is in line to win its first regular-season conference championship in 11 years of Division I play. Follow Alan on Twitter @ASaunders_PSN!
