Performance of the Year

Fan Vote: Ejuan Price vs. Louisville

My Vote: Ejuan Price vs. Louisville

Surprise..Surprise. Price makes his name known once more.

Seriously, what else is there to really say about his guy?

Against Louisville, Ejuan Price had 10 tackles, six tackles for loss, and five sacks. Video game numbers for a defender.

He was simply unblock-able and could have had more if it weren’t for broken contain and missed tackles along the way. It was one of the most impressive single performances I have witnessed at any level for a defender.

After the week, Price was named the ACC defensive player of the week and the second time he was tabbed as a player of the week for the conference. Along with the conference honor, Price was named the Bednarik award national defensive player of the week following the Louisville outburst.

It was so great in fact, that past players, particularly linebackers, took notice and wished  that could have had the opportunity to play in the system that was introduced to the 2015 Pitt defense.

Another notable performance, one in which immediately competed with that of Ejuan Price’s, was Jordan Whitehead and his game against Notre Dame in which I had referenced earlier.

Voting Breakdown:

Ejuan Price vs. Louisville: 66.33%

Jordan Whitehead vs. Notre Dame: 19.67%

Tyler Boyd vs. Iowa: 6.0%

Nathan Peterman vs. Louisville: 4.33%

Qadree Ollison vs. Youngstown State: 3.67%
