3. Pittsburgh’s front-office still has faith in Tomlin

Art Rooney II made it very clear that he and the Steelers front-office still have great faith in Tomlin moving forward. Pittsburgh fans may not necessarily agree with Rooney, but they should at least give him the benefit of the doubt. This franchise has only hired three head coaches since the 1970’s, and they’ve turned out to be fantastic hires.

Steelers fans also need to remember how fortunate they’ve been to call Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin their head coaches. While none of those three guys have been perfect, Pittsburgh’s front-office always supported them through tough times, and in turn, led to each coach bringing home, at least, one Lombardi Trophy.

Again, that type of repeated success just doesn’t happen in this day and age of the NFL – unless you wear black and gold, of course.

All kidding aside, the fact Art Rooney II gave his vote-of-confidence for Tomlin needs to mean something for this passionate Steelers fanbase. The Rooney’s have been a big part of this franchise’s success, so there’s zero reason to not trust them now.
